The superintendent of schools decides our bachelor should marry, and he favors having women do the proposing.
A queenly drama teacher proposes, followed by a brisk, business-like Hom Ec teacher, and also the teacher in charge of girls' Phys.

Mr. Caldwell believes he turned them all down tactfully.
But, they think otherwise, and each of them anounces her engagement!
They all descend on Mr. Caldwell.
He beats them back by having his pretty secretary announc their own secret engagement.
The wrathful trio stalk out, leaving Mr. Caldwell safe but glumly wishing he wereengaged—to the secretary.
