Right Bed, Wrong Husband
Neil Schaffner
Marcy is marrying an admiral tomorrow, but all she talks about tonight is Doug, the guy she used to go with.
She and her mother prepare for the wedding - when in from the apartment balcony comes Doug - to abduct his girl before she marries the admiral.
Well, it turns out that they are still in love - and more important, there is no admiral bridegroom.
Marcy's mother had set up the whole ruse to get Doug to act and marry her daughter.
But - mother goes out and gets spiffed and in walks a real admiral with the same name to marry Marcy!
He is actually an actor mother hired - and since she got spiffed she forgot to cancel.
Naturally there's a lot of confusion and just as naturally it all turns out all right.
A great success at dinner theatres.
