Believe & The Man Jesus - Two Plays
Matthew Hurt
Here is a thrilling play of faith triumphant for those who are seeking an outstanding play for any religious occasion.
Marcellus, a Roman, is seeking an answer to the riddle of Jesus's life.
Marcellus believes that Jesus is the greatest of men—but doubts that He is more than man.
Marcellus carries with him the Robe of Jesus, which he won at dice after helping to crucify Jesus.
In Jerusalem, he finds the Christians persecuted and hunted down by the Romans.
Some of them suspect him of planning to betray them, but in a dramatic scene Marcellus proves his good faith, and as he witnesses the courageous death of one of their number, he takes the one further step of faith and accepts Jesus as his Saviour.
This play has the most moving and intense religious fervor.
