Synopsis

The followers of Jesus are gathered together after the crucifixion.

Because of the uncertainty expressed by some as to whether He is actually risen, those who have seen Him tell the stories of their experiences.

Thomas is present, and is chief among the skeptics.

His critical, often sarcastic remarks, springing from a broken heart, run throughout the play, culminating in the shouted words, "Why can't you people face the truth?

He's dead!

It's all over!

It's done!

Now forget it!" Then there are footsteps on the stairs outside, and Someone enters.

Thomas recognizes Him and falls at His feet in total belief and reverence, uttering the words, "My Lord and my God!"
