Synopsis

The story presents the problems | vital to youth in an intelligent and sympathetic manner, making it of great value to the director who demands a high standard I of literary and artistic excellence.

The story I concerns Penny Wood and Chuck Harris, the boy next door, as they go about the frequently difficult but always amusing business of growing up.

When Penny's Uncle Mervyn, only five years older than she, brings Roger Van Vleck, a senior and a killer-diller, home from college, she forgets to be a man-hater and succumbs to an attack of calf love which is ten degrees worse than measles.

In her efforts to make herself attractive to the fascinating Roger, she almost disrupts two families, but the discovery that Roger is double-crossing Mervyn by trying to steal his girl, brings her back to normal, and, incidentally to Chuck.
