Synopsis

Mad adventures of a young girl in her freshman year at Clayton college.

Female intrigue in its most ingenious form as Jill Sheldon and her girlfriends plot in and out of the dormitory how to trap potential husbands.

The potential husbands include a Count, a football hero and a poet-philosopher-writer.

The plot is advanced as Jill, in the process of maturing, surveys and discards each prospect in favor of the next.

The conclusion to all this research is startling to her parents, who have prepared themselves with some relief for an early marriage.

By June, though most of the females of the freshman class have committed themselves to imminent weddings, Jill suddenly decides not to forsake her education, nor the 128 boys moving on to the sophomore year.

Among Jill's closest friends and confidants number Claire, her roommate, an iconoclastic type, and Hotsie, an ebullient blond bombshell who is given to malapropisms and whose main intellectual pursuit is the study of man.

The play is divided into two acts, each comprised of a series of scenes which are episodic in flavor.
