Suds in Your Eye
Jack Kirkland
A Fair Price is about three women who turn the tables on the greedy merchants who are cheating them.
One woman must pay three copper coins when a greedy merchant charges her for the shade under a wagon.
Another woman must pay for the smell of a honey cake.
A third woman is charged for hearing the sound of a flute.
The women put their heads together and use the same trick with a different twist.
They pay these greedy merchants with the shadow of three copper coins, the smell of three copper coins and the sound of three copper coins rattling.
