Synopsis

Laughs, thrills, suspense and excitement!

Gould Trevor, who has recently served on a jury which convicted a man, receives threatening notes.

Whipped into a frenzy by a frivolous neighbor, Jennie Trevor's housekeeper who has overheard Trevor talking of murder over the telephone, gets it into her head that Trevor plans to murder her.

Jennie flees, and a strange young woman, who calls herself Mary Jones, takes over the position of housekeeper for Trevor.

The excitement increases as mysterious happenings take place and everyone is suspected of murder.

GOULD TREVOR

A tall, fine-appearing man in his mid-twenties, who possesses an attractive personality.

CAMILLA FOREMAN

A pretty girl in  her early twenties, she is dainty and petite, and appears younger than she really is.

MRS. WILSON STROPP

A woman in her early thirties, gay and frivolous who lives on enthusiasms and hops from one fad to another. Her voice is shrill and high pitched, and she giggles incessantly.

JENNIE MARKS

A short, stout girl in her mid-twenties, with crude speech and manner, and gives the impression she was raised in the country. Very nervous and easily frightened.

WILLIE TRIPPITT

A tall, heavy-set man of forty with a self-important air and a blustery manner of speaking.

DR. ELLIOTT

A short, thin man in his early fifties. He is a fussy little man who plays great attention to the slightest detail.

VEDA ARTHUR

A tall, statuesque-appearing girl in her early twenties. She is snobbish and condescending. Her speech is affected.

ROXY BRENNER

In her early twenties, and is well poised and entirely sure of herself. Her smile is disarming and she presents and attractive appearance.
