Synopsis

What did you say "what" for?

has no real story or plot line, and a park bench is its only set.

It simply involves a rather "mad" lady's attempts at conversation with a simple, unsuspecting little man.

Beneath the "bizarre dialogue" and "lunatic fun" is indeed a level of human isolation crying out for a sounding board; to converse with something that reacts; to be heard and acknowledged, even though nothing in particular is communicated or understood.

However, any attempt on the part of the director or actors to belabor these "undercurrents" or wallow in "hidden meanings" would do nothing but destroy them, as is the case in all "absurdist" drama.
