Synopsis

Barry, thirty-nine and recently divorced, sets off around the world on the trip of a lifetime in this ingenious comedy.

His travelling companions are his parents, whose cheery optimism, all-too-visible romantic attachment and parochial ways drive Barry to distraction.

Paris, Turkey, Egypt, Hawaii and New York are among the many stopping-points for the travellers: all are suggested, on an otherwise empty stage, by three stools and a soundtrack of music and effects.1 woman, 2 men
