Synopsis

The immediate problem is to trounce the women of a rival sorority at football and get permanent possession of the Honey Bowl, but quarterback Andrea Campbell first needs to get the team's attention.

It's the University of Texas in the 1950s, an age of innocence which hasn't kept Anna from getting pregnant by the kind of guy who wreaks motorcycles or deterred Tayzie from her fascination with men who rough her up.

Nor was it innocence that let Evvie get out of her boyfriend's car with her sweater on backwards, setting off a search into midnight streets for a "missing" fraternity pin.

Sadness comes when betrayal rips the solidarity that gives these young women their secure place in the world.

This showcase ensemble piece for college age actresses is ideal for designers to imaginatively devise wardrobes for sleep, athletics, classes and wildly different fraternity theme parties.
