The White Garden

Synopsis

In 1921, Vita Sackville-West and Violet Trefusius had an affair that rocked Edwardian society.

To dispel further scandal, Violet left for Paris, and Vita threw herself into a life as a novelist, gardener and diplomat's wife.

She also wrote a nasty little book, which implied Violet had betrayed her.

Twenty years later, it's been a hell of a day.

Vita is already unnerved by an early morning suicide attempt from her house guest, Virginia Woolf.

Now she must face her past when an unexploded bomb forces the expatriate Violet to take refuge in her house too.

The very fortress she's built to protect herself is about to come down.
