Synopsis

Sarah Wilde, a music journalist, is a devotee of the late, renowned opera singer Gabrielle Leaman, having been hugely influenced by her guidance and advice when a music student.

She meets Professor Parish, Gabrielle's vocal specialist and intimate friend, to help her complete the first draft of a biography.

However, at the cottage once owned by Gabrielle, Sarah's word is crushed when Professor Parish, in a series of flashbacks with Gabrielle, paints a very unsavoury portrait of the singer.
