Synopsis

The Straits is about an extraordinary summer in the lives of four teenagers in the Straits of Gibraltar during the Falklands War of 1982.

The teens are stuck, their parents having been assigned to this archaic remnant of the Empire, and are trying to figure out how to grow up and become whoever it is they are going to be.

Burke draws on his own experiences growing up as part of a family stationed in Gibraltar.
