Synopsis

Jennifer’s father has dragged her to the theatre when she’d much rather be at home or at a movie.

But when she runs up on stage and starts to make up her own play, her father becomes a magician and helps her bring it to life on the stage!

Jennifer’s story is full of interesting people, mythical creatures and fantastic adventures.

It all starts when a poor shipwrecked boy washes up onto the shore of a beautiful but lonely island – how will he find his parents and get home?

Along the way, The Island of Anyplace introduces every aspect of theatre, including storytelling, acting, directing, sets, lighting, costumes, makeup, sound effects and much more.

Since its first performance in 1990 at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, thousands have been enthralled by this fantasy introducing children to the magic of live theatre.

Sheet music is included in the libretto; optional downloadable music files are also available.
