Synopsis

Hope Fairchild is an attractive, intelligent eighteen-year-old girl caught between two dynamic males.

Her highly intellectual and collegiate beau wants to marry her at once; and her wealthy, arbitrary father refuses even to discuss so preposterous an idea with the young couple.

To challenge Father on a small issue, Hope invites a fetching summer theater actress to stay in the guest cottage without Father's permission.

Since Father, without telling the family, has issued the same invitation to a stately U. S. Senator whose endorsement Father needs for a coveted Federal appointment, the results of this minor rebellion are major - and hilarious.

In the end, in a scene both dramatic and touching, Hope's anger is aroused and she shows herself to be a true daughter of a strong father, stands up to him respectfully but firmly and opens his eyes to important things going on around him.
