Synopsis
A funny, sexy, scurrilous adaptation of the play Bertolt Brecht made into The Threepenny Opera.
On board a convict ship to Australia, the prisoners stage their own version of John Gay's eighteenth-century romp-with-song, The Beggar's Opera, finding it easy to identify with the villainous but charming hero, Macheath.
