Synopsis

In this powerful and disturbing modern retelling of Shakespeare's The Rape of Lucrece , Tarquin and Coll, Lucrece's lover, are employees of a private company that is under contract with the government in a murky foreign war.

Tarquin shows up on Lucrece's doorstep and says he's promised his friend Coll to come and see her when he returns home.

What does or does not happen when Lucrece and Tarquin meet is a matter of some dispute between them, and trying to get to the bottom of it threatens to drive the already shell shocked Coll nearly out of his mind.

A dark play about the nature of truth between men and women.
