Highlights

40 mins Bare Stage/Simple Set

Synopsis

An original 45 minute fantasy musical about a little girl's problems sharing her home with a grandparent.

When Maddie's parents bring her grandfather home to live with them, it doesn't look like they're getting along.

She resists his overtures of friendship, complaining that her grandfather should be in"a place with people like him."

She can't understand why this weird old man has come to live in her room.

Maddie's friend James gives her the folk story his grandfather told him, and Maddie finds herself becoming an Asian princess haunted by the flute song of a humble fisherman, and her concerns are removed from the ordinary.

Maddie finds herself transformed into a character in a colorful Vietnamese folktale, which teaches her the pricelessness of family bonds and the spirit's eternal youth.
