Synopsis

This edgy comedy deals with loneliness, fear, courage, the supernatural, deception and romance, as a diverse group of strangers attends an adult extension class to discuss "the miracles that have occurred in our lives."

As each person tells of his or her miracle, the stories become more and more fantastic and bizarre.

The group eventually bands together against the sinister Agatha, who delights in proclaiming that her miracle is predicting people's deaths.

Carl, the most socially challenged of the group, is having a great time even if some of his conversation starters are a bit macabre: "If you were stranded on a snow bank and had to eat your own leg to survive, do you think you'd gain or lose weight?" The evening progresses, and more of these lonely characters reveal their secrets.

Just as the class is coming to a conclusion a surprising twist occurs: several members admit they fabricated their miracles.

They just came to meet members of the opposite sex!

This comedy takes us on a unique emotional journey, one that we all can relate to, as nine hopeful people try to make those all-important personal connections.
