Milk And Honey
Philip King
Milk and Honey , Jerry Herman’s first Broadway book musical, is a romantic comedy-drama set in Israel during the nation’s early days of independence.
A group of American widows – led by the hilariously blunt and amiable Clara – tour the country by bus in hopes of landing a husband.
Meanwhile, two lonely Americans named Ruth and Phil meet and begin a mid-life romance, hoping to overcome some obstacles to their happiness.
Herman’s tuneful score includes “Shalom,” “There’s No Reason in the World,” and the rousing title song.
Milk and Honey is a play written by Don Appell and published by Tams-Witmark .
