Synopsis
THE STORY: The first installment of an epic Civil War trilogy, COLD HARBOR follows the adventures of Lydie Breeze, an idealistic young nurse who’s fled Nantucket after her father’s suicide to learn the truth behind his death.
On the battlefield at Cold Harbor, one of the War’s bloodiest and most fruitless skirmishes, she meets Joshua Hickman, a Secret Service agent; his aide, Amos Mason; and Sergeant Dan Grady.
Disillusioned by an endless war, the men follow Lydie Breeze back to Nantucket, where they will start a new life of the highest ideals.
