

What Happened to Jones?

"Jonesy" is Wilbur Jones, who comes home from college bringing a fraternity brother with him.
Engaged to the girl next door, his fancy is attracted by the ingenue of the local stock company.
Father and mother assume that he is trying to elope with the actress, and try to save him.
Before they discover that the girl is the niece of their most influential townsman, the man from whom senior Jones hopes to get a good job, they have let themselves in for embarrassing complications.
With the matter reasonably adjusted they make the further discovery that their son has sold the family car to pay his poker debts and when father attempts to recover the car he gets himself arrested.
