The quest is fraught with dangers, and manly courage is demanded of the 12-year-old boy.
When at last he has overcome all obstacles, and holds the three powers of the world in his hands, he is subjected to a further test, to determine how he proposes to use power.
He returns to his tribe empty-handed.
