The Circus Animals' Desertion
Don Nigro
Becky, an old woman, has begun seeing imaginary cows in the middle of the road and horrible faces hanging in the air.
Her doctor says its actually fairly common for people who are going blind to see vivid hallucinations of this sort, but Becky is worried she's losing her mind, and the experience has gotten her thinking about her life, trying to make sense of her past, and making an effort to mend fences with her son.
A funny and moving play about our shifting personalities and sense of reality as we move through our lives.
Becky appears in several Nigro plays including The Circus Animals' Desertion , November , French Gold , Dramatis Personae and others.
