Synopsis
Specially commissioned as a joint Irish-American cultural relations project, Getting the Picture premièred at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast as part of the 1998 Belfast Festival
Set in Tennessee in 1845, former US president Andrew Jackson is preparing to have his photograph taken when a young Northern Irish woman challenges him to support a movement to break the union with Britain.
