Synopsis
Author of The Philadelphia Story , Philip Barry presents the case of Sophie Wing, a brooding, brilliant and tempestuous actress who is planning to marry her acting partner and go on a South American tour.
Five years before, her husband, Jim Hapgood, joined up with a Scottish regiment.
He has been reported missing, is thought to be dead, and has been legally declared so.
But as Sophie and her leading man are preparing for flight, word comes that Jim is alive and back.
