St. Lazare's Pharmacy
Eddie Dowling
Louie takes drugs and his friend Porse has begun to give them to his sister.
The threat to her jars Louie from indifference to dismay.
In a nightmare he sees what is required of him.
Struggling against an agonizing need for dope, he confronts Porse.
She ridicules him and tempts him with more dope.
They fight and Louie is knifed fatally.
As he falls, a revelation comes to him and he cries out that he has won.
