Synopsis

This stage dramatization of Heller’s classic 1961 satire includes all the unforgettable characters from the novel: Milo Minderbinder, Clevinger, Lt. Colonel Korn, Nurse Duckett and Major Major, among many others.

The folly of war and the hypocrisy those who make it pay are seen through the eyes of Yossarian, a nihilistic pilot convinced his number is up.

Every time “Yo-Yo” reaches his quota of missions, the requirements are increased, until he flatly refuses to fly.

He’s desperate to get out, but there’s always a catch...

Press Reviews

"A satirical condemnation of war and its grotesque absurdities… the show becomes increasingly textured, both visually and aurally, as comedy dissolves into something more bitter and despairing."

— The Guardian

"Shockingly apt… Heller provides ironic, funny dialogue, and some of the political points in this piece – set during World War II but meant to be metaphoric – remain sharply pertinent."

— Philadelphia Magazine
