Synopsis
Written in 1927, Brumby Innes was not given a full stage production until 1972, three years after Katharine Susannah Prichard's death.
It is set among the tribal Aborigines of the remote Pilbara region of Western Australia and foreshadows her famous novel, Coonardoo, with its critical exploration of Australian pastoral society and race relations between the Indigenous peples and the white settlers.
