Synopsis

This American College Theatre Festival winner is a down home country and western comedy set in an Arkansas town where times ain't so good.

The stage is trisected into three areas: the beauty salon, the saloon and the dj's broadcast booth.

People in one section are able to converse with those in another.

The local mill is laying off workers and the place is beginning to look like a ghost town.

Desperation hits heavily on one laid off driver whose wife is the manicurist in the beauty salon, and they end in tears and shards.

A parade of other quaint characters and juicy gossip passes across the stage.

Lots of juicy parts here for school productions.
