Tunc Yalman translated THE LIAR by Carlo Goldoni and THE TRICKERIES OF SCAPIN by Jean Baptiste Molière, both published by Dramatists Play Service, Inc. Mr. Yalman became artistic director of Milwaukee Repertory Theater in 1966. His translation of Italian playwright Carlo Goldoni’s eighteenth-century script has its roots in Milwaukee, having been originally produced by the Milwaukee Repertory Theater during their 1970-71 season.
