Samara Siskind is an award-winning playwright whose plays have been produced nationally and internationally and featured in eight of the annual Smith & Kraus "Best Of" anthologies from 2023 to 2026. Her work has been produced/developed at the William Inge Theatre Festival, the Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival, the Florida Repertory Theatre, Barrington Stage, City Theatre Miami, Forward Theater Company, Savage Wonder Arts Center, Ivoryton Playhouse, the Morgan-Wixson Theatre, the Growing Stage, ThinkTank Theatre, Weathervane Playhouse, New City Players, Murmuration Theatre Company, Cherry Picking NYC, Gi60NY, Gi60 Houston, Ephemeral Players, Playwrights’ Round Table, Theatre Odyssey, Surfside Playhouse, Lakeshore Players Theatre, Columbus Black Theatre Festival, Gather By the Ghostlight, Play de Luna, B3 Theater, M1A - Miami One Acts, Asian Story Theatre, Napa Valley Players, ACT Studio Theatre, Whiskey Theatre Factory, Cast Iron Theatre, JDAL, Theatre Reset, Edmonds Driftwood Players, Breakthrough Theatre Company, tiny_Theatre and Left Edge Theatre, among others. She is the winner of the 2025 Verna Safran Prize, shortlisted for the 2025 Alpine Fellowship Theatre Prize, a Finalist for the 2025 Anna Zornio Memorial Children's Playwriting Award, and a Finalist in City Theatre Miami's 2025 Susan J. Westfall National Short Playwriting Contest. Samara is the Resident Dramaturg for Athena Project, a graduate of the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts, and a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
