Sam Locke was the author of many plays, musicals, and television shows. He is largely considered a master of the revue form. Broadway credits include THE STRAW HAT REVUE (1939), TIS OF THEE (1940), OF V WE SING (1942), TIDBITS OF 1946 (1946, which Locke also directed), THE VAMP (1955, starring Carol Channing), and FAIR GAME (1957). Television credits include “The Donna Reed Show,” “The Patti Duke Show,” “McHale’s Navy,” “Green Acres,” “Gilligan’s Island,” “The Flying Nun,” “The Brady Bunch,” and “All in the Family,” among many, many others.
