Nord Riley was a freelance writer from Wyndmere, North Dakota. He contributed short stories and articles to a variety of magazines, including "Saturday Evening Post," "Outdoor Life," "American," "Collier's," "Maclean’s," "Esquire," "Field & Stream," "Writer," and "Cosmopolitan." Riley wrote for television programs such as “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis,” “My Favorite Husband,” “General Electric Theater,” and the “Schlitz Playhouse of Stars.” He authored two books: “The Armored Dove” (1964), which also was published as a play, and “Nord Riley’s Spain” (1989).
