Kenyon Nicholson was an American playwright and screenwriter. Born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Nicholson was a graduate of Wabash College. He relocated to New York to further his work as a playwright. His play THE BARKER was made into several movies under different titles and was one of the longest-running plays on Broadway. "Sailor Beware," the popular Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis film, was a much-changed adaptation of his play. He was also a founding member of the famed Bucks County Playhouse in Pennsylvania.
