Herbert Rawlings, Jr., an award-winning singer, actor, author and dancer, hails from the “Motor City” of Detroit, Michigan. He is the co-author of the musical Do Wop Love and From My Hometown. Herb starred as James Thunder Early in the international and Broadway revivals of Dreamgirls, for which he won the Fred Astaire Award for Best Male Dancer. He has performed nationally and internationally as Sportin’ Life in Porgy and Bess. He also appears in the movie Talk to Me as James Brown. Herb has also appeared in various venues on the Strip in Las Vegas.
