Thekla

Synopsis

This unusual farce is about a young woman, a native of Iconium during the Roman occupation, who becomes infatuated with a missionary named Paul (we know him as St. Paul).

Eventually, Thekla's ardor for Paul cools, and she applies herself to strictly celestial devotions.
