It's Been Wonderful
John Patrick
Paula Ritter's returning home after her "success" starring in an amateur play production.
Her husband, Fred, sneaked out before the curtain fell-- as after her performance, he's afraid to show his face in public.
To his amazement Paula's friends at their home congratulate her on a great "triumph."
They blithely gloss over the production's ridiculous mishaps.
But when they urge her to leave Fred for Broadway, he puts his foot down-- finally convincing Paula her role is that of a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Ritter Appears is a comedy play written by George Kelly and published by Samuel French .
