Synopsis
Sir Richard Kitchen, the most famous man of his generation not to become Prime Minister, lives with his daughter and putters about her garden.
Kitchen is a dotty old gentleman, given to leaving cantankerous messages on his son-in-law's answering machine and making a nuisance of himself on walks through the local village.
He may be on the verge of senility - or this might be his way of shaking up his cold and smug relatives and neighbors.
Sir Ralph Richardson starred at the National Theatre of Great Britain in one of his last stage appearances.
