Synopsis

Marivaux's fabulous Harlequin pursues his country love Silvia to the palace, where the lovelorn Prince holds her against her will.

Flaminia, an intriguer at court, attempts to reroute the affections of both Silvia and Harlequin, whose take no prisoners belligerence is softened and transformed.
