Synopsis

Craig, a Hollywood scenario writer, is on trial for murder.

He is accused of pushing his wife over a cliff.

But Miss Scott, who is secretary to a picture magnate and one of the jury, thinks the defendant is innocent.

Also serving on the jury are two men who do no share her opinion and are all for voting the man guilty.

One of these is a respectable architect, D.J.

Campbell, who falls in love with Miss Scott during his time on jury duty.

As the story progresses it is clear that the defendant's unfortunate love affair paralleled that which is taking place between the two jury members.

In order for Miss Scott to convince Campbell of the man's innocence, it is necessary for her to point out this similarity and to shake the jury out of its prejudices with earnestness and honesty.
