Land Of Little Horses, The
Rebecca Gilman
Cora is getting married, and her father, George, gives her a painting of wild horses that belonged to his first wife.
Mrs. Ingle, who is buying George's house, has an expert eye and asks her friend Norton to have the painting appraised.
George is horrified when he sees Norton; they met in jail after George was imprisoned due to a currency misunderstanding.
Norton sells the picture to the art dealer, and from then on it changes hands so often, it's impossible to say who owns it.
After many hilarious events, the muddle over the ownership is eventually solved.
