Synopsis

The tender-hearted account of the love stories of two sisters, who live together in Sheridan Square.

Ruth, the simple one, sells perfume and saves her money for the time she will marry her fiance.

He for his part, is doing the same.

But Stella, the hard-working older sister, has little to look forward to now.

She has been jilted by a man whom she had helped send through medical school.

Ruth and her fiance try to get Stella interested in men again, but she is too bitter.

A nice fellow does come along, though, and Stella all but wrecks love again by trying to make him over into th image of her former lover.

Fortunately his love is strong enough to endure, and she learns a lesson in the ways of love.
