Mr. Pim Passes By
A.A. Milne
This delightful fantasy enjoyed a year's run at the Charles Hopkins Theater, in New York.
King Perivale decides, when on the point of marrying Princess Lilia, to walk through the ivory door of his palace, in spite of the tradition that no one who walked through it has ever returned.
Unafraid, he makes the attempt, but when he comes out the other side and returns to the castle gales, no one knows him, except Lilia, and to prove her love for him and belief in him she too walks through the door.
Whereupon no one recognizes either of them.
In the end another king is chosen but the real king and his princess have discovered happiness and truth.
