An Irish Play
Dan O'brien
An American prize-fighter returns to Ireland to settle down after his last fight—in which his opponent died.
With the help of the local matchmaker he woos and wins a comely Irish lass, but antagonizes her brother, who has no respect for a man who won't fight back when he's hit.
He denies his sister her dowry.
This doesn't bother the boxer, but it does the bride who takes matters into her own hands...
