The Great Gatsby Tickets
F. Scott Fitzgerald's Jazz Age classic comes alive as a Broadway musical at the Broadway Theatre. The Great Gatsby follows the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby, who throws lavish parties on Long Island in the hope of winning back Daisy Buchanan, the love of his youth, now married to the wealthy Tom Buchanan. It is the first Broadway musical of the novel, set against the glamour and excess of the Roaring Twenties.
The score, by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen, mixes jazz and pop, with a book by Kait Kerrigan, direction by Marc Bruni and choreography by Dominique Kelley. Linda Cho's costumes won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical. The production began performances at the Broadway Theatre in March 2024, after its world premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey.
What to Expect at The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby runs for 2 hours 30 minutes, including an intermission. Expect big party numbers with flapper dresses, feathered headpieces and Art Deco design, alongside the love story and the tragedy at the heart of the novel.
Before You Go
The Great Gatsby is recommended for ages 10 and up, and children under 5 are not permitted in the theater. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance, as latecomers may not be seated until a suitable break. Photography and recording are not allowed during the show, and the theater can be cool, so bring a light layer.
