Synopsis
This stage biography of gifted short-story writer Katherine Mansfield is set in the tuberculosis sanitarium where she went with her devoted companion, Ida Baker, to regain her health over the winter of 1920-21.
The play focuses on the relationship between these two ladies and on this important literary figure’s sensibilities as a writer and a woman, while revealing harsh truths about her marriage to a writer and critic who treated her with selfish insensitivity.
