The Long View
by Alan D. Haehnel

Synopsis
On a seemingly ordinary day, an explosive fight occurs at a high school when Travis, a bully, confronts his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, Nate.
Though the actual encounter lasts only a moment, the effects of the incident linger in the memories and lives of all those who witnessed it.
Through a series of short scenes and monologues, this powerful play explores the repercussions, both short term and long, of a single event in a young person's life.
At the play's end, the physical confrontation is illustrated once more, but now with a much broader perspective.
