The Jumping Mouse
by Debbie Roy

Highlights
Synopsis
Inspired by a Native American folk tale, this one-act play follows the journey of Little Mouse.
Grandfather, in his role as teacher/narrator, tells of the adventures and changes that happen when a small mouse asks questions and then travels out into the world to find his answers.
From seeing a river for the first time, to saving the life of a buffalo, to learning to trust his own courage, our hero learns and becomes wise.
By the end of the play, Little Mouse has grown and changed in many ways, and achieved more than he expected when he set out - but, as Grandfather says, "What makes you think that this is the end of his journey?"
